This policy applies to information collected online and in person, including through our website, Shopify store, customer sign-up forms, marketing communications, and sweepstakes entry forms.

Where consent is legally required for a particular activity, we will obtain that consent separately. Nothing in this policy limits any privacy rights you may have under applicable law.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is specifically requested and necessary for a legitimate purpose.

B. Information Collected at Artisan Markets and In-Person Events

LEA Pottery may collect personal information directly from individuals at artisan markets, craft fairs, pop-up shops, pottery events, and other in-person activities.

The information collected may include your first and last name, mobile telephone number, and email address.

We collect this information when you voluntarily provide it and explicitly consent to receive promotional communications from LEA Pottery by text message and email.

We may use this information to send promotional messages concerning new pottery collections, product launches, restocks, upcoming markets, pottery classes, workshops, special offers, giveaways, and other LEA Pottery announcements.

Providing your contact information for promotional purposes is voluntary. We do not use information collected through this process for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis or additional consent where required by law.

We may store this information in customer contact lists, email marketing platforms, SMS marketing platforms, or other business systems used to manage customer communications.

C. Payment Information

When you make a purchase, payment information may be collected and processed by our third-party payment providers.

Depending on the payment method selected, payments may be processed through Shopify's payment services, PayPal, Klarna, or other payment options available at checkout.

These providers may collect and process payment card details, billing information, transaction information, and other details necessary to authorize or complete a transaction.

We generally receive order and transaction information necessary to operate our business rather than complete payment card details. The information available to us depends on the payment provider and payment method.

Each payment provider may process personal information under its own privacy policy and terms.

The information collected depends on the website features, privacy settings, and third-party technologies enabled at the time of your visit.

E. Information Collected Through Third Parties

We may receive personal information from Shopify, payment providers, shipping carriers, marketing services, class-registration services, and Sweeppea when necessary to provide our products and services.

For example, we may receive confirmation that a payment was completed, that an order was delivered, or that a sweepstakes entry was submitted.

2. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  1. Process payments, fulfill orders, and arrange shipping.

  2. Provide customer support and respond to questions.

  3. Administer pottery classes, workshops, markets, and events.

  4. Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and other transactional communications.

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by law.

3. PAYMENT PROCESSING

Our online store operates through Shopify. Depending on the payment method selected and the payment options enabled at checkout, payments may be processed through Shopify's payment services, PayPal, Klarna, or other available payment providers.

These providers may collect and process payment card details, billing information, transaction information, and other details necessary to authorize or complete a transaction.

We generally receive order and transaction information necessary to operate our business rather than complete payment card details. The information available to us depends on the payment provider and payment method.

We use payment-related information to process transactions, confirm orders, address payment disputes, prevent fraud, and fulfill legal and accounting obligations.

Each payment provider's privacy policy and terms govern its own processing of personal information. We encourage you to review the applicable provider's privacy information when using its services.

4. EMAIL AND TEXT MESSAGE MARKETING

LEA Pottery uses Shopify Messaging to manage promotional email and SMS marketing communications.

A. How We Collect Marketing Information

We may collect your name, email address, and mobile telephone number when you voluntarily provide that information through our website, customer sign-up forms, or in person at artisan markets, craft fairs, pop-up shops, and other events.

At in-person events, we collect contact information for promotional communications when you explicitly consent to receive marketing texts and emails.

We may use this information to send promotional messages about our pottery products, new collections, restocks, classes, workshops, market schedules, giveaways, and other LEA Pottery announcements.

Providing contact information for marketing is voluntary. Consent to receive promotional communications is not a condition of purchasing products, booking a class, or otherwise doing business with LEA Pottery.

B. Promotional Text Messages (SMS)

If you provide your mobile telephone number and the required consent, we may send recurring promotional text messages through Shopify Messaging.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.

You may opt out of promotional text messages at any time by replying STOP to a marketing text message or by contacting us at the email address listed in Section 16.

For assistance, you may reply HELP where supported or contact us directly.

We will honor applicable opt-out requests and stop promotional text messages as required by law. We may send a message confirming your opt-out where permitted.

We do not knowingly send promotional text messages to individuals who have not provided the consent required by applicable law.

C. Promotional Emails

If you subscribe to promotional emails or otherwise provide the required consent, we may send newsletters, product announcements, collection releases, event information, and special promotions.

You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contacting us directly.

We will honor unsubscribe requests within the time required by applicable law. Transactional emails relating to orders or services you requested may continue where appropriate.

D. In-Person Marketing Consent

When you sign up for promotional communications at an artisan market, craft fair, pop-up shop, or other in-person event, you may provide your first and last name, mobile telephone number, and email address and expressly consent to receive promotional texts and emails from LEA Pottery LLC.

We use this information for the marketing purposes explained in this Privacy Policy and will honor applicable unsubscribe and opt-out requests.

You may opt out of text messages and emails separately. Opting out of one communication channel does not automatically opt you out of the other.

We do not treat consent to receive promotional text messages or emails as consent to unrelated uses of your personal information.

E. Consent Records and Suppression Lists

We may retain records of when and how marketing consent was obtained, the communication channels authorized, and any subsequent withdrawal of consent.

We may also retain limited information necessary to document consent history, honor communication preferences, maintain suppression lists, and demonstrate compliance with applicable law.

5. SWEEPSTAKES AND GIVEAWAYS

LEA Pottery LLC uses Sweeppea to support the administration of certain giveaways, sweepstakes, and other promotional activities.

A. Information Collected from Participants

When you enter a promotion through Sweeppea or another permitted entry method, we may collect information such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, entry details, and eligibility confirmations.

The information collected depends on the entry method and the requirements of the applicable promotion.

B. Technical Information Collected by Sweeppea

When you participate in a giveaway or sweepstakes through Sweeppea, Sweeppea may also collect technical information about your interaction with its platform.

This information may include:

  • IP address.

  • Browser type and version.

  • Device information and operating system.

  • Cookies and online identifiers.

  • Usage, access, and diagnostic information.

  • Other technical information associated with accessing or interacting with the platform.

The information collected may depend on how you access and interact with Sweeppea and the technologies Sweeppea uses.

Sweeppea may process this information to operate and secure its platform, administer promotions, help prevent fraud or abuse, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform other activities described in its own privacy policy.

C. How Sweepstakes Information Is Used

Information collected in connection with a promotion may be used to:

  • Receive and manage entries.

  • Verify eligibility and compliance with the official rules.

  • Administer the drawing and document its outcome.

  • Contact potential winners.

  • Confirm a winner's eligibility and arrange prize delivery.

  • Maintain records required for legal, administrative, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Sweeppea may process personal information on behalf of LEA Pottery LLC and may also process certain information for its own account administration and service operations, as described in its privacy policy.

Personal information submitted through a Sweeppea promotion may be made available to LEA Pottery LLC as the promotion sponsor. We encourage participants to review Sweeppea's privacy policy to understand how it collects, uses, and protects information through its platform.

D. Promotion Rules and Marketing Preferences

Each promotion is subject to its own official rules, which explain eligibility, entry methods, deadlines, drawing procedures, prizes, and any permitted winner announcements.

For the Banana Girl Matcha Set promotion scheduled to close on November 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, information submitted through the entry form or permitted mail-in entry process may be used to administer the promotion and contact the winner.

Purchasing a product does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications. Sweepstakes entry information will not be used for unrelated marketing communications unless you separately consent or another lawful basis applies.

We may retain promotion records for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the promotion, document the outcome, deliver prizes, address disputes, and comply with applicable law.
